Spring brought a new lightness to our lessons. The 1st graders diligently collected various early bloomers, which were then closely examined together.

The time spent in the forest was also wonderful, where the students were greeted by a sea of wild garlic and spring flowers.

Creative Learning in School

In German lessons, the focus was primarily on creative practice of vocabulary. Writing on windows caused great excitement – followed by a joint window cleaning session.

In religious education, the story of Zacchaeus was vividly told and then creatively explored.

A special highlight was the visit to a bakery: The students gained exciting insights behind the scenes and were able to actively participate themselves. The freshly baked milk rolls were a real treat!

Independent Learning and Presentation

In the 3rd and For the 4th grade, the focus was on research and presentation work. The children gave presentations on topics of their own choosing. Together with their parents, they found suitable literature, brought it to school, and worked intensively on it: posters were designed, texts were written, and content was vividly prepared.

With great joy, the students took on the role of “experts” and shared their knowledge with the class.

Experience and Discover Music

The first and second graders delved into the world of music and were able to not only learn about but also try out the flute, piano, and violin. Taminos’s mom and Francesca’s parents created a particularly atmospheric hour – truly in the spirit of “It sounds so wonderful, it sounds so beautiful…”.

The children were able to gather first impressions, such as the “ringing of birds” on the flute. The anticipation is high: a joint visit to the opera The Magic Flute is also planned soon.

Learning Outside the Classroom

The 2nd grade visited the DomQuartier and participated in a workshop on the topic of “Noah’s Ark” – an exciting experience!

Additionally, the students made the most of every ray of sunshine: On a particularly beautiful day, the children created spring pictures in a meadow near the school.

Applying English in Everyday Life

In English lessons, there was much joy in learning and speaking. The children made superhero masks and introduced themselves as superheroes.

The 1st graders playfully practiced their first dialogues about fruits and vegetables, such as: “Can I have a grape, please?”

A special highlight: The 2nd grade took a trip to Starbucks and ordered in English – a great practical application!

Consciously Experience Easter

In preparation for Easter, the children of the 3rd and 4th grade designed their own Easter candles. The Easter confession also took place at school – a particularly valuable moment, especially for the First Communion children, who could then celebrate it together with their families.

Community that Supports

In the first days of the Easter holidays, with the support of dedicated parents, rooms were already prepared for the upcoming school year. Our library is now located in the entrance area – an inviting place for everyone who comes to school early.

With gratitude, we look back on a fulfilling and eventful month, during which the children were able to gain many valuable experiences and grow together. We are all the more looking forward to the time ahead.
